Speaker’s Bio
 
Mr. Steve Ong is a UK chartered accountant and a Hong Kong certified public accountant. He is a fellow of the ICAEW and HKICPA with over 25 years of experience in the accounting profession. He is the head of accounting affairs at the HKEx’s listing division responsible for accounting and auditing matters, including the Exchange’s financial statements review program. He is also a member of the HKICPA financial reporting standards committee and the auditing and assurance standards committee. He was previously a member of its sustainability and integrated reporting advisory group
 
He is also involved with HKICPA’s Best Corporate Governance Disclosure Awards and The Hong Kong Management Association Best Annual Reports Awards as a member of the judging panels. He is a regular speaker at events on the Exchange’s financial statements review program relating to accounting and disclosure of financial information in listing rules.
